Armen Balian serves as the CEO of HypoCap Funding, where he spearheads the development of sales, funding partner channels, and general management. With a goal to establish HypoCap Funding as a premier loan broker and future direct lender across various real estate finance sectors, Armen is dedicated to cultivating a robust platform for financing, ranging from private money to high-grade loans. Leveraging his extensive banking experience since 1990, encompassing retail, commercial, SBA, and income property lending with both traditional banks and non-bank lenders, Armen brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Armen's background as a federal bank regulator and his past possession of multiple securities licenses further enriches his understanding of the financial landscape. Beyond banking, Armen has owned and operated businesses in diverse sectors, including food manufacturing, import/export, and data analysis for marketing purposes. Armen holds an MBA from Webster University and a Finance degree from California State University at Northridge.

Biography

Peter Steigleder is a seasoned executive and real estate professional with over 28 years of experience spanning commercial real estate, private lending, and economic development. He currently serves as Chief Risk Officer at HypCap Funding, a national mortgage brokerage and private lending platform, where he leads enterprise risk strategy and helps drive the firm’s growth and stability in a dynamic financial landscape. Prior to joining HypoCap, Peter was the Co-Founder and CEO of NAI Capital Finance, Inc., a partnership with NAI Capital Commercial and a key member of the global NAI Global network. Born in Germany, Peter immigrated to the United States in 1985. He earned a degree in Real Estate and Finance from California State University, Northridge, and began his professional journey as Director of Economic Development for the German Consulate General in Los Angeles. He transitioned into commercial real estate in 1999 at Beitler Commercial, earning “Rookie of the Year” honors and rising quickly to Senior Vice President. He later held senior roles at Lee & Associates—where he was named Principal in 2008—and Delphi Business Properties, before founding Hudson Commercial Partners. Peter also served as President and COO of Fidelity Mortgage Lenders, Inc., where he oversaw the funding of more than $600 million in private money loans and expanded the company’s operations from two to seven states. Over his career, he has completed more than 800 commercial real estate transactions, including sales, leasing, and development deals. Beyond his professional achievements, Peter is actively involved in numerous industry and philanthropic organizations. He served as the first non-Jewish President in the 85-year history of the Guardians of Los Angeles Jewish Health from 2019 to 2022. He has also held leadership roles within the National Private Lenders Association (NPLA), the California Mortgage Association (CMA), and is affiliated with groups such as the Jewish Federation Real Estate and Construction (REC) Leadership group, American Association of Private Lenders (AAPL), German American Business Association (GABA), and the Jonathan Club.

Prior to co-founding Hypocap, he built a distinguished 30+ year career in residential and commercial real estate and finance, identifying high-value opportunities and driving significant business growth. His expertise not only strengthens Hypocap’s operational backbone but also adds a sharp, entrepreneurial lens to our pursuit of premier lending opportunities. Throughout his career, Andre has contributed to the successful expansion of multiple ventures, showcasing a strong background across note investing, mortgage financing, construction management, equipment leasing, factoring, and a wide array of financial services. His industry knowledge and hands-on approach make him a critical force behind Hypocap’s innovation and leadership in the marketplace.
